Participants (Owners) are randomly assigned to a real baseball team to represent them. Win or lose, each team's run total at the end of the game is recorded.

1st Place is the first team to record every run from 0 to 13. When that happens, 2nd and 3rd Place are immediately determined — they are the two teams closest to completing all 14 marks at that moment, ranked by tiebreakers.

Note: There may be an opportunity to do this multiple times per season if we arrive at winners fast enough and there is enough interest.

Tiebreakers determine the ranking of all teams. Teams are ranked by: most marks achieved, then earliest date to reach that mark count, then fewest games played.

If a tie still exists, the team that achieved the highest run first wins. That is, the team that scored run 13 first wins. If both teams scored run 13 on the same date, the team that scored 12 runs first wins, and so on.

These rules determine 1st place among teams that complete all 14 marks, and also determine 2nd and 3rd place among all remaining teams at the moment 1st place is decided.

Final run totals are recorded with the date the regular season game started. Games that are postponed, suspended, cancelled or considered unofficial for any reason are not recorded. Final run totals for rescheduled games or resumed games are recorded with the later date.

All regular season games count. Occasionally, a team may play more or less than 162 games. The extra games will count in the standings just as unplayed cancelled makeup games cannot count.

Pools that start too late in the season may not have a team with all the runs needed to win. In this case, all three winners will be determined by the tiebreaker rankings among all teams.

Each participant will pay an entry fee of $25 per team. You may purchase up to 5 entries. 20% of all entry fees will be donated to charity. Hope to get all 30 teams sold, but we will commence if the deadline comes without selling all the teams (those teams will be unowned and will not count).

There will be 3 winners. Payouts are based on 80% of the total pot (after charity donation):

Example: If all 30 teams sell, total is $750. After 20% charity ($150), the pot is $600. 1st: $360, 2nd: $180, 3rd: $60.
